First things first, we’d like to send you all our upmost support and best wishes to try and help you through these very turbulent times we’re currently living. Time will tell how everything will turn out in the end, but at the time being, the only thing we can do is sit and reflect.
Not that long ago, we dreamed of a slower life, a time of pause to sit and care for the environment. It seemed almost impossible, given the hectic pace of the world. Turns out a small virus called SARS-CoV2 (causing COVID-19 disease) got us to stop on our feet and cease almost all activity. Would it be a humility lesson for humans?
As devastating as the current situation is, it’s comforting to know that nature seems to be healing at last. Will we be able to adopt the necessary measures once the storm has passed?
Among other things, cutting down on the consumption of processed meals, packed in plastic – which is often not recycled, contaminating the planet. Moreover, these meals aren’t usually the healthiest to eat, lacking in vitamins which fresher, minimally processed foods do pack.
We’d like to help you eat healthier by sharing this list of homemade plant milks with extra Vitamin C, in order to help our immune system. They’re delicious too!
- Chestnut milk (17,2*mg/100gr)
- Pistachio milk (7*mg/100gr)
- Hazelnut milk (3*mg/100gr)
- Walnut milk (2,6*mg/100gr)
* amount of vitamin C or ascorbic acid per 100 grams of nuts.
We really hope that this situation can end as soon as possible, and once it’s over, we can open up our eyes and see the damage that we’ve been doing on the planet. Every little action has an impact, and we must take care of all factors in order to preserve our health and the planet’s.
Last but not least, we’d like to send a tight hug to all of you affected by the disease. We’ll keep dreaming of the day when all is back to normal, hopefully more respectfully for the environment.
